About me
Kat is a Construction Engineer for the Federal Highway Administration focusing on contract administration, construction management, and oversight of Federal-aid programs and projects. Kat leads initiatives nationwide on: alternative contracting, consultant services, construction site safety, e-Construction, e-Ticketing, BIM, ADCMS, UAS, and the ever popular Buy America and BABA. Prior to FHWA, Kat worked for the Maryland State Highway Administration, starting as a construction inspector. Kat has a Master’s in Business Administration from Frostburg State University and a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Penn State. She is a registered Professional Engineer in Maryland and Pennsylvania, a Designated Design-Build Professional, and an Advanced EMT for her .
